형태에 대한 세심한 관찰을 통해 새로운 미디어로 재현을 통해 새롭게 발견하고 부여하는 형태적 특성을 구체적으로 구현한다. 디지털 미디어를 시각적 효과 뿐 아니라 물성을 적용하고 형상을 구축하는 촉각적 단계까지 활용할 수 있다. 디지털 모형제작의 과정을 중심으로 다양한 아날로그와 디지털 미디어를 활용하여 직관적으로 형태를 이해하고 수학적 해석 방법을 적용하는 과정 속에서 다양한 디지털 형상 가공법을 실습한다.

Digital media takes important roles within the whole spectrum of architectural practice. This course aims to learn empirical demands in practice and to apply relevant technologies into the design process from schematic and developing phases to presentation and documentation. Beyond visual images, this course encourages somatic level of learning through digital media. Students learn diverse skills of digital fabrication using analog and digital tools to improve keen intuition of form and space.
